Each rifle sizing die is vented, polished, heat treated for toughness and then receives a final micro-finish polish for extra smoothness. RCBS 223 REMINGTON SMALL BASE FL SIZER X-DIE

Trim a bottleneck case once—and never trim again with the X Die Small Base Sizer.
The X-Sizer Die looks like a regular Full Length Sizer Die. Its specially designed mandrel has an expander ball and decapping pin attached. The patented design eliminates the need for repeated trimming after an initial trim of .020 inch off the maximum length to standardize the case. The X Die doesn’t shorten the length of the case: The mandrel reduces the growth caused by the case mouth contacting the mandrel during sizing. Because of an extremely close tolerance between the mandrel and die neck wall, the neck wall of the case does not thicken as the case length is pushed back. Cases repeatedly sized in the X-Die will initially grow a few thousandths of an inch, and then stabilize below the maximum case length with no discernable loss of accuracy or case life.

Sizing dies require the purchase of appropriate neck bushings for the caliber you are loading. To determine the proper neck bushing size, measure the outside neck diameter of a loaded cartridge and subtract .002” to .003” to allow for a small amount of brass spring back.

Redding dies are made of the finest alloy steels obtainable and machined on Hardinge Super- Precision lathes capable of holding the tightest tolerances in the industry. To maintain tolerances and guarantee that your dies will last a lifetime, all Redding dies are heat treated in atmospherically controlled furnaces. Finally, your dies are hand polished for smooth, flawless functioning, go through final inspection, and are ultrasonically cleaned and packaged. The die box is a handy cartridge loading block and storage package. Inside is a spare decapping pin, hex wrench, and even a place for your shellholder (sold separately). All Redding dies use the industry standard 7/8-14 threaded bodies. REDDING 308 WINCHESTER TYPE S MATCH NECK DIE SET

The new Type S - Bushing Style Neck Sizing Die provides reloaders with a simple means to precisely control case neck size and tension. Uses interchangeable sizing bushings (sold separately) available in .001" increments. The adjustable decapping rod allows positioning the bushing to resize only a portion of the neck length if desired. Concentricity is enhanced by the ability of the resizing bushing to self-center on the case neck. The decapping rod is supplied with a standard size button. A decapping pin retainer is also supplied with all Type S - Bushing Dies. This enables neck sizing without the use of the size button for those who sort and/or turn case necks for uniformity. Includes: Type S Bushing Style Neck Sizing Die, body die, competition seater die, spare decapping pin and hex wrench. Shellholder sold separately.
