Lee uses a solid carbide insert, ground to a special contour that does not leave a belt mark on the case like other carbide dies. With a carbide sizer, no case lube is needed. Sizer also features an unbreakable decapper and built-in stuck case remover. The Powder Through Expanding Die permits charging the case while expanding the case mouth. The Bullet Seat and Feed Die features a free floating bullet seater to insure maximum accuracy. **Note: The 7x57 Rimmed Mauser uses the standard 7x57 dies, but will need a different shell holder to hold the case. The Rimmed cases would use a #5 Shell Holder instead of the #2 supplied in the die sets.
If you will be reloading for hunting, or your firearm magazine limits the overall length and prevents your bullet from touching the rifling, we recommend restoring accuracy with the accessory factory crimp die.

RCBS 223 REMINGTON SMALL BASE FL SIZER X-DIE

Trim a bottleneck case once—and never trim again with the X Die Small Base Sizer.
The X-Sizer Die looks like a regular Full Length Sizer Die. Its specially designed mandrel has an expander ball and decapping pin attached. The patented design eliminates the need for repeated trimming after an initial trim of .020 inch off the maximum length to standardize the case. The X Die doesn’t shorten the length of the case: The mandrel reduces the growth caused by the case mouth contacting the mandrel during sizing. Because of an extremely close tolerance between the mandrel and die neck wall, the neck wall of the case does not thicken as the case length is pushed back. Cases repeatedly sized in the X-Die will initially grow a few thousandths of an inch, and then stabilize below the maximum case length with no discernable loss of accuracy or case life.
