Lee 7X57 Mauser Micrometer Full Length 2-Die Set. Includes Full Length Sizing Die, Micrometer Bullet Seating Die, Universal Shell Holder, Powder Dipper and instructions with load data.
Select this die set if you are reloading new and mixed range brass.
**Note: The 7x57 Rimmed Mauser uses the standard 7x57 dies, but will need a different shell holder to hold the case. The Rimmed cases would use a #5 Shell Holder instead of the #2 supplied in the die sets.
If you will be reloading for hunting, or your firearm magazine limits the overall length and prevents your bullet from touching the rifling, we recommend restoring accuracy with the accessory factory crimp die.
LEE 8X56R MAN FACTORY CRIMP DIE
Product Information
Lee 8X56R Factory Crimp Die (custom over-run) crimps the bullet in place more firmly than any other tool. Tests demonstrate that even bullets which have no crimp groove will shoot more accurately. A firm crimp improves accuracy because pressure must build to a higher level before the bullet begins to move. This higher start pressure insures a more uniform pressure curve and less velocity variation.

The simplest way to check the case and trim to the correct safe length is with a Lee Case Trimmer. After a case has been loaded a few times, it will stretch beyond maximum length and must be trimmed. The Cutter and Lock Stud (sold separately) works for all calibers. The Case Length Gauge (Pilot) and Shell Holder must be ordered for each caliber. Trim cases by hand or electrically. Can be used with an electric drill to trim, chamfer and polish cases faster. Eliminates danger of long cases. Squares the mouth for more accurate bullet seating and exit. Includes Case Length Gauge and Shellholder only.

The Lee App Bulge Buster Kit and the appropriate Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die, restore free function of rimless cases that have low base bulges. Low base bulges usually occur from chambers that do not fully support the cartridge or cases resized in carbide dies from manufacturers other than Lee. These show a noticeable stop ring near the base. You will most likely find cases with these problems in mixed range brass.
