Sierra MatchKing rifle bullets are super-accurate bullets with very thin jackets and are held to exacting tolerances in diameter and weight. Their accuracy has been acclaimed worldwide and they have been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined. Weight retention is held to within /- 0.3 grain. Sierra has enhanced a segment of the MatchKing line by adding the acetal resin tip, thus crowning the Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet line. The major advantage of adding a tip to the bullet is the reduction of drag, producing a more favorable ballistic coefficient. Due to the ballistic advantage that the tip provides, the 168 Tipped MatchKing (TMK) will stay supersonic at 1,000 yards at normal .308 Winchester velocities, unlike its untipped counterpart. The Tipped MatchKing (TMK) bullet is an excellent choice for Palma and F-Class (FTR / F Open) matches, as well as 3-Gun and various other competitions. SIERRA 22 (.223) 45gr HORNET BULLET VARMINTER 100/Box

Sierra Varminter Bullets deliver the performance and consistency needed in the demanding sport of varmint hunting. These thin-jacketed, soft core bullets were designed for use in cartridges such as the 22 Hornet, 22 K-Hornet, and 218 Bee at muzzle velocities between 2600 and 2900 fps. These short bullets easily stabilize in barrels with a 1 in 16″ twist. These varmint bullets also perform very well at velocities up to 3500 fps out of medium capacity cartridges such as the 222 Remington and 223 Remington.

SIERRA 22 (.224) 40gr BULLET BLITZKING 100/Box

For rifles, this bullet is designed for explosive expansion in varmints and small game and with accuracy characteristic of the MatchKing bullets. The nose tips of this bullet is made of a proprietary acetyl resin compound, and the sharp tips improve the ballistic coefficient over the traditional flat-base Spitzer bullet design. The 40 grain BlitzKing #1440 has a flat base. All the BlitzKing bullets in 22 caliber are designed to be fired at muzzle velocities up to 4400 fps.
For handguns, the BlitzKing bullet is especially effective in varmints and small game for the full range of centerfire cartridges in 22 caliber. They have outstanding accuracy, a flat trajectory and superb expansion in small animals even with the smaller-capacity cartridges. The 40 grain #1440 bullet is recommended for smaller cartridges, such as the 22 Hornet up to the 222 Remington.

SIERRA 22 (.224) 45gr SPT BULLET VARMINTER 100/Box

In rifles, this bullet is fully capable of producing 1/4 minute of angle accuracy at velocities that would destroy most other bullets. The bullet has the Spitzer point shape and a flat base. This bullet style is the choice of many accomplished varmint hunters. It features precisely drawn jackets to assure pinpoint accuracy and reliable expansion, even at maximum ranges. This bullet is slightly "hard" at 222 or 223 Remington velocities, but are especially well suited for velocities from 22-250 and 220 Swift cartridges.
For handguns, while capable of producing traditional Sierra accuracy, this bullet must be considered too "hard" at handgun velocities for anything other than target applications. If your handgun will produce velocities greater than 3000 fps at the muzzle, the 45 grain and 50 grain bullets could be used for hunting varmints out to moderate ranges, but will not have explosive expansion.

SIERRA 270 (.277) 175gr BULLET TIPPED GameKing 100/Box

Sierra’s new 175 gr Tipped GameKing is designed to be tough and used for heavy duty hunting work. It will hit like a hammer on big game from the great 270 Winchester as well as be right at home in any magnum cartridge. It will use a 1-8” or faster twist rate to stabilize because of its long length, but the BC’s are also extremely high because of that. The higher BC’s make it very efficient in flight so it will give a high impact velocity at distance.
This bullet requires a barrel twist rate of 1×8” or faster.

SIERRA 30 (.308) 115gr HP BULLET VARMINTER 500/bx

Sierra is now offering our #2116 0.308” 115gr HP Varminter as a Green Box item. Originally offered in our 300 AAC Blackout #A2116-33 ammo, it has given proper feeding and functioning in all forms of firearms chambered for this cartridge.
From the 300AAC, it is perfectly suited for varmint use up to a medium sized game animal like whitetail with proper shot placements, but it can also be used from a wide variety of other cartridges. From a faster velocity cartridge, like a 308 Winchester, it would be better suited for varmints as it will give an exceptionally deadly expansion quality. It has a 0.267 G1 BC so it will travel well, even out to 250 yards and possibly more with the right zero.

SIERRA 30(.308) 165gr SBT BULLET GAMEKING 100/Box

For rifles in 30 caliber, these bullets are designed for medium- to long-range hunting with cartridges having medium to large case capacities for powder. These bullets often display match grade accuracy from accurate hunting rifles. The famous Sierra Spitzer Boat Tail shape assures flat trajectory, excellent resistance to crosswinds and vertical winds, and maximum energy delivery to the target. Good penetration and expansion are characteristic of these bullets even at the reduced impact velocities at long range. With the weight range available, at least one of these bullets will prove ideal for almost any 30 caliber cartridge. The 165 grain #2145 bullet is best suited to medium game at all velocity levels, and game the size of elk could be taken with confidence providing velocity doesn't exceed 3000 fps and the range is limited to about 300 yards.
