The Hornady Custom Grade New Dimension 2-Die Set is a great die set for the avid reloader. This die set includes a Custom Grade New Dimension (CGND) Full Length Sizer Die and a CGND Seating Die. The Full Length Sizer Die features a Zip Spindle, with a series of light threads cut on the spindle and spindle collet. This eliminates spindle slippage, and makes tightening the spindle lock a breeze when making adjustments. The floating bullet alignment sleeve and stem in the CGND Seating Die improve bullet seating and accuracy by pre-aligning the bullet and case before seating. The seating die also applies a crimp to secure the bullet in the case. The CGND die set comes packaged in a plastic storage box, and includes two Sure-Loc rings. Shellholder is sold separately. •Lee Precision includes the expander appropriate for a .308 diameter bullet. Nearly everyone that reloads the 7.62×54 /7.62×53 uses the .308 diameter bullet. The availability and selection of .308 bullets are far greater than .311. In military issue ammo they used a .309 to .311 diameter bullet. The smaller expander is included as standard issue as it is usable for .308 as well as .310 diameter bullets if the larger expander was installed it would not be usable with smaller .308 diameter bullets. The limited amount of load data that is available usually is worked up using .308 diameter bullets.

Lee uses a solid carbide insert, ground to a special contour that does not leave a belt mark on the case like other carbide dies. With a carbide sizer, no case lube is needed. Sizer also features an unbreakable decapper and built-in stuck case remover. The Powder Through Expanding Die permits charging the case while expanding the case mouth. The Bullet Seat and Feed Die features a free floating bullet seater to insure maximum accuracy.
